Palestinian resistance fighters on Sunday targeted a number of IOF positions and armored vehicles while retreating from Khuza town to the east of Khan Younis district after wreaking havoc in the area for the past three days.
The armed wings of the PFLP and the Fatah Movement declared joint responsibility for firing at an IOF soldier who was boarding a tractor and for targeting an APC with an RPG east of Khuza.
The statement said that the IOF troops retaliated with intensive shooting after the APC was seen set ablaze then towed away.
It said that one of the joint group members was wounded in the operation and was safely evacuated.
For its part, the Qassam Brigades, armed wing of the Hamas Movement, declared responsibility on Sunday for blasting an explosive device in another Israeli APC near the Kissufim crossing east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Hebrew service of radio Israel said that two Qassam missiles were fired at the western Negev area but no casualties were sustained.
The broadcast added that an explosive device was also hurled at an IOF unit near Hawara roadblock in Nablus and a number of Molotov cocktails were tossed at a vehicle for settlers near Qalqilia in the West Bank with no casualties reported.
The IOF arrested three Palestinian young men at Taku road barrier near Bethlehem alleging they took part in separate shooting incidents against IOF soldiers in the Bethlehem district, according to the radio.
